What's sad about this is that if they had used a proper narrator who had some real chops and integrity he would have made a few adjustments on the fly (although I have seen Japanese "directors" who don't have a fucking clue insist on making a complete mash of these things). So the guy, clearly an amateur, did the job, took his 50K yen (or less, a proper narrator would have cost at least 120K) and went out and got drunk. So depressing ... 'cause things really haven't changed much in the last 30 years ...

I think I mentioned on FG before but I had a buddy (Japanese American) who worked for a printing company here....and they printed Engrish Toyota service manuals. He said they clearly had an "English-challenged" J-dude doing the translations. Since they were printing the Japanese language manuals as well, he found a bunch of insane errors that were likely to result in injuries/fires/etc. When he called Toyota to point out the problems, instead of gratitude, he got "Who are you to question us?! You print it as is and don't cause any more trouble!"

That's actually a bit of a letdown. I was expecting something a bit more wow-inducing, but it's kind of a cheat (although to be fair, I suppose the only way to actually make something like that would be to cheat). At least the dovetails weren't glued in.

I might be putting this in the wrong category, because I am not really sure if you can strictly call it a video of interest, but the latest OK Go performance art has a Japanese location. As is usual for OK Go, the song is too shitty to even put you to sleep with boredom, but the video shows the results of a lot of effort.
