Why would this ad be controversial? It is kinda cute.

Hmm. Seems it attracted lots of racist comments on Youtube.

I won't delve deeper into the level of comments on Youtube in general, but I basically stopped reading them, because it is mostly thrash.

Apparently the existence of mixed-race couples goes too far for the geniuses who regularly comment at Youtube. General Mills, at least, says they have no intention of pulling or changing the ad.

The ad isn't really generating controversy. It's generating racist comments from people who post anonymously online (like pretty much anything else does). That's not the same thing. What should be controversial about that ad is the claim that Cheerios or any other highly processed breakfast cereal is healthy.

Dunno. There seems to be a subtle difference.

So subtle that I vastly prefer Benny Benassi's video.

"I am forgetting how to WRITE English"

Postby BigInJapan » Fri Aug 23, 2013 6:41 pm

Less than two years since she came to Japan, and she is forgetting how to write English?
Not sure if this just an attempt to get more hits on her YT channel or what. But seriously, if someone is forgetting that quickly, maybe this is another indication of how poor western education has become. Judging by all the atrocious grammar and general lack of English writing skills evident everywhere you look online (including bonafide "NEWS" sites as well), I'm not surprised.

Didn't watch the video, but if she is less skilled after five years in Japan than the average Japanese in writing the letter "C", she must have been a retard to begin with...

She looks like a misshaps form a cloning experimentation out of a failed and forgotten Nazi project...

BTW, she didun't forget english... she seems to be learning kana and replacing roman letters by kana when writing english. Which is a temporary situation that happens often... Hell, evaaen Palm 3 grafitti handwriting spilled a little in my note taking habits. After all it's like the radio alphabet (alpha, bravo, charly...) if an underpowered dumb as a brick pocket assistant can easily recognise the letters, much less possibilities for humans to missread them afterward...

Plus, she's a lefty... they are all retards... just look at Obomba...

Sony TV CM with interracial family (white/Japanese)

Postby BigInJapan » Mon Sep 09, 2013 6:10 pm

Sony announced a new set-top box and the PR video features an interracial family (wife appears to be Japanese*, kids are haafu) which seems to be all the rage nowadays. More info on the PS Vita unit on The Verge.

*Wife of course could be Chinese or Korean, etc., but, it is Sony so...

From the wife's facial expressions, I conclude that she must be Chinese-American.

How to stroke

Postby Russell » Mon Sep 09, 2013 8:17 pm

You read it here folks.

1. Easy, efficient LIFT of the forearm...

2. FREE-FALL of the forearm...

3. Optimal BONE ALIGNMENT and MUSCLE CONTRACTION at moment of impact...

4. INSTANTANEOUS RELEASE.

I don't agree with your last statement. She has quite a fascinating face.

The point I was trying to make is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

Of course, to a certain extent.

We probably all agree on this woman:

I'm racist when it comes to being involved with women of Chinese descent regardless of nationality. And it's not just because of my own horror stories. It's because every dude I know who's been down that path has more or less the same story.
