But that stigma matters if you want to run a business. Even if your company's product/service isn't location sensitive and you say fuck big city prices, I want to set up in a small bumfuck town with cheap real estate, good luck finding employees.

Totally agree...which is why I don't understand the lack of some effective government intervention to encourage some spreading out. (which might actually encourage some baby makin')

I'm going for a cheesy yet upscale 'merica cabin but trying my hand at some real nice natural-looking landscaping and such.....the waterfall is going to be put to use and I'm creating a pond. With any luck, the local hotaru will eventually infest it and light up the place when they emerge
