volunteer visa

Postby olryst » Mon Dec 29, 2014 1:43 am

Hi, has anyone ever used a volunteer visa before

http://www.uk.emb-japan.go.jp/en/visa/volunteer.html

Im wondering as I intend to apply for one soon. I want to volunteer in japan for a year, while I do my English degree, so I can experience what it's like to live there and to better learn the language.

i'm hoping to find an English teaching related volunteer position.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Never heard of it before, but the link gave good information. What are your concerns?

Why volunteer? That sounds expensive. Just get a Working Holiday visa and get paid to do exactly the same thing.

As far as I know most volunteer English work is church related, FYI. You could also become a Mormon and spread the love of lil bebbe Jeezuz while accomplishing your goals.

Hope that helps.
