Having survived[*] a M9.0 and subsequent tsunami, I find myself being increasingly irked by the metaphorical use of tsunami particularly when intended to imply something other than mass destruction through the force of nature.
[*] in the sense that I was in the same country when they occurred

Am I meant to imagine one billion wimmin, rising up out of the sea in a fearsome mass, sweeping a scythe of indiscriminate, large-scale death, destruction and nuclear meltdown across a wide area and leaving hundreds of thousands of families homeless, many weeping for loved ones who were never found?
Now if you'll excuse me, I'll go and try and find a life.
