Farmers have resumed planting rice for market only 15 kilometers from Japan’s crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.

What a nightmare. Sure they are going to be "testing" but that is crap - if a batch fails the first round of tests they will resample it until falls below some random arbitrary level or worse it will be stolen and relabeled and sold as Kyushu rice.

When a testing level is too high, jst mix with known good rice
When all else fail, raise safety limit.
New trend, have two set of safety limits, one really low for known good stock, one randomly set to match the level of the currently tested batch. Also known as "not even pretending to give a fuck anymore"
