It's a little far from you but maybe it's related to ....

CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa -- A U.S. Air Force pilot was rescued Tuesday after an F-15 aircraft from Kadena Air Base went down in the waters around Okinawa, the Japan Coast Guard said.

A Japanese military search and rescue team recovered the pilot around 10 a.m. after the servicemember ejected safely following the 9 a.m. crash, according to information from the coast guard and the Air Force.

Might have been a couple of jets out of the air base here in Fukuoka yesterday (seemed like normal movement).
Nothing today so far.

On Sunday there was the Tokyo Port Festival

It was all around Hinode, Kachidoki etc. So I guess that is Hamamatsu-cho area.

I went to it and there were lots of demonstrations of air-sea rescues, fire department boats with water cannons etc. There were lots of flybys with resuce helicopters and some dumping water on fake boat fires.

My two year old thought it was pretty cool.

Just heard back from a friend living under the landing path over at that base. He hasn't seen any Honda jets, and didn't think any were in the Marine Air Wing system. All Gulfstreams and Learjets for VIPs.
