Typhoon #24 (Danas) hitting Japan

Postby BigInJapan » Mon Oct 07, 2013 5:34 pm

It looks like typhoon #4 (aka Danas) will be a big one.
Schools will be closed here in Fukuoka tomorrow (first time in the 2.5 years I've been down here).

I don't know how they evaluate the trajectories, or more precisely, how they manage to usually have them right...

But maybe with a kittle luck it will see how much nicer Korea is and leave us alone...

That fucking bitch is at 935hpa, lost 30 since yesterday... It's going from bad to worse...

It's like there's a fucking typhoon every time I drive to the other side of this cuntry. The only bright side is less bug holocaust to clean off the front bumper.

It looks like the projected path has shifted a bit north so Tokyo should miss the worst of it. Good news for me but hope everyone else manages to stay safe and dry.

Yep, even down here in Fukuoka all we got was some normal storm wind and not even heavy rain.
For what was purported to be the biggest typhoon in 22 years, much ado about (almost) nothing it seems.

980hpa, staying in the colder sea of Japan.
I'm not even sure to get enough/any rain to clear the accumulated bird shit...
