Blogs top list of favorite consumer items in Japan

Weblogs, or personal websites, topped the list of the 10 most popular items selected by consumers in Japan during the first half of 2005, advertising giant Dentsu Inc. has said....
Weblogs topped the popularity list apparently because many consumers have taken an interest in opening their online blogs after the personal website of Takafumi Horie, president of the ambitious Internet service, Livedoor Co., drew national attention.
