1st Annual Tokyo Gumbo Challenge

Seeing how Mardi Gras is just around the corner - and I'm damn hungry for some home food - I've decided to host the 1st annual Tokyo Gumbo Challenge.

Target date - Feb 18th
Where - Either I'll get a restaraunt/bar or my house
What - You gotta make your best gumbo and bring it for full on judging.

Rules -

1) No canned stock
2) Okra or File OK

OK - I've also decided that to keep things <real> an honest to goodness courir will be formed in honor of Fred Flames aka Chez Flames of Annunciation blvd NoLa. So -- this is how works --

a) I'm the damn Capitain - period
b) Need between 4 and 8 riders
c) We commandeer a couple of Taxis since I haven't seen any horses around.
d) Go to about 6 houses to <beg> some food for our gumbo.
e) At least 1 of the houses gotta have a live chicken that we can chase down.
f) You all need to make your own costumes. And think about it.

My cousin is a professional chef, he won a gumbo competition in New Orleans a few years back. He uses canned stock.
