Father of pro boxer Koki Kameda expelled from JBC over outburst
Mainichi Daily News, April 13, 2010
[floatr]Image[/floatr]Shiro Kameda, father of pro boxer Koki Kameda, has been expelled from the Japan Boxing Commission (JBC) for an outburst at officials in late March following his son's defeat.

[...]

A JBC disciplinary committee on Tuesday, however, decided instead to expel Kameda from the JBC, preventing Kameda from ever receiving a license in Japan again. The JBC decided furthermore to deny Kameda access to any seats, ringside areas or waiting rooms owned by the JBC.

Noriyuki Igarashi, chairman of Kameda Gym, was punished by having his club owner and promoter licenses indefinitely revoked.

About time!

Here's hoping the rest of the family follows soon.
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

I read Joe Koizumi on Fight News just after his outburst. He's been criticizing the family for some time now but this brought out a full broadside.

Glad this happened. Those POS's should all be banned.

I think proper punishment should be to force Papa Kameda face Brock Lesner in an MMA fight, original UFC rules.

he made a good point about their perceived popularity not being backed up with endorsements (compared to Naito).

I was thinking that the Kamedas would have fallen off the face of the planet by now. I read somewhere that every time they put out a fight on TV, the station ends up losing money big time because the sponsors refuse to endorse it because of negative image the family portrays.
