xenomorph42 wrote:In the states, McRib was really awesome and they use thick BBQ sauce, but when they were selling it in Japan it was dryer than the Sahara desert! Very little sauce, No thick juicy onions or pickles and NO grain bun, they dose some Mayo on it and that's it! Pathetic. I'll pass on the Japanese version, just wait until I get to the states to get the real McCoy!

xenomorph42 wrote:The QP is as good as it gets for McD's, it ain't a "Whopper" but it's decent. McRib Japanese style on the other hand is just downright nasty to the core. McD's doesn't have the best food, but in Japan, compared to the U.S. Japan's McD's is THE absolute worst. Their monthly burger versions are something of legend.
Salsa, tortilla chips with kidney beans? I come on, who comes up with these horrible ideas. Japanese generally can't make a burger properly and that's the fact.
In the states, McD's does carry healthier choices of sandwiches, huge selections and lower calorie meals and they do have pretty good salads.

But the particular one you mention above (possibly the Big America Texas 2, if memory serves) was a stroke of genius. A nice generous serving of nachos, crammed between your hamburger patty and the bun? Fking brilliant! I don't understand why they haven't introduced it in the U.S. It should be on the permanent menu.

Anyone noticed how they reduced the size of their buns to reduce costs/raise prices?
Here is a McMuffin. Looks good, huh?
Here is how big it really is. It's like a toy McMuffin.
My McDonalds sucks. It's one of the nicest and newest Mac buildings I've seen. Beautiful two story, a stand alone building. They closed the entire 2nd floor (seating for about 60 in wide booths and tables) to "save energy" (just another way to save costs...) and people have to eat standing up downstairs.
I counted 16 people behind the counter one day near lunch time. They have never had more than one register open (staffed by some new, slow, pimply faced teenager who couldn't operate the POS system) and customers are routinely lined up outside the door, but they never open another register. Sixteen people stumbling all over themselves in the kitchen doing nothing but busywork.
Business has dropped off now (and I think they're probably happy that they don't have to deal with pesky customers) so they wait is down to 30 minutes. They still have the lights off, A/C off and closed off the 2nd floor. It's 5 Coligny's on the crazy scale.
I don't eat there, but tried some new chicken burger thing they started last month at a different Mac and it was awful. God, I hate their fries, too.
You know what? I really think Mos Burger is pretty good. I've never had a bad experience at one and I like it.

They must throw away at least $1 million worth of sugar per year by not having a spark of intellect to ask the customer if they want it, rather than just giving everyone sugar and white soy stuff masquerading as cream for all the coffee they serve.
