Private search party- ?

It's got special weather conditions which make it harder from what I understand but it's only 3000m which is nothing compared to peaks elsewhere.

At less than 2000m, most experienced climbers don't even consider it a mountain, but its isolated position right between the Gulf Stream and the Canadian north make the weather dangerously unpredictable. Winter temperatures average 20-below and winds of over 370kph have been recorded on the peak.

I've heard of guys going on long treks not only giving the police/rangers there full routes but going so far as to give them a piece of cloth with their scent and a boot print, etc.

This is Matt's sister: Thank you everyone for your prayers and patience as our family goes through this time. My Dad, brother-in-law and the search party will be traveling to Tokyo this weekend. It takes over 24 hours to get there. After meeting and collaborating with the police department and rescue team, the tentative plan is to begin the search on Wednesday night (Thursday morning Tokyo time). Thanks again for your prayers.

No-one saw him fall but a passer-by found him lying on the pavement, with blood coming from his ears, just before 7:00am. An ambulance arrived to take him to hospital but he died about an hour and a half later...
...The building is a commercial property in Shinsaibashi with bars and restaurants on the 6th and 7th floors. An Asahi report says police have ordered an autopsy.

If you don't want to spend "an hour and a half" in pain in the hospital before dying, always leap from more than 10 stories---more than 15 is ideal to make sure you hit at terminal velocity.
