98.37 for now vs 99.29 yesterday...
Unless you are doing nanosecond trading... Not sure it's that big of a difference...

Damn it, if only the US Government had shut down for longer you could have bought more Yen for your Dollars.

Or, to use the language common in the financial press, the rate has plummeted to what it was one week ago!!!!! Chicken Little!!

Wonder how high it'll go this time. If it hits 110 It'll be just like the old days, but in more of a police state.

I read a couple of articles that suggest 105 by the end of this year and 120 by the end of next.

Yes, but kindly to observe rule of Abenomics. You putting up your prices by 2% each year as is plan.

Up 50bps less than your competitors raise. Not sale value, but their raise.

I wonder if the true inflation rate will be declared a state secret? Then Abenomics will achieve plan of 2% per annum in spite of massive monetary expansion, devaluation driven rises in basic inputs such as energy and increases in sales tax just to prime the pump. 2% it will be! Everybody happy! Except maybe anyone big into JGov bonds - like the Post Office Bank, all other banks and pension/investment funds. Or is that another state secret in the making?

If you look hard enough, you can find a forecast that will put it somewhere between 75 and 200.

I wish - it certainly makes life a lot easier. The level of government debt could be declared a state secret - that would also help ensure the success of Abenomics.

Its a mixed bag over here. Strong dollar good for me, strong yen good for the wife. I would be kinda pissed if all the money in this house was yen though.
