The will still talk about Paul Kariya, because he had a little Yamato blood running through his veins. But ask them about Jonathan Quick, or Kopitar, or Justin Williams the Conn Smythe winner, and you will get blank stares.
Taro Tsujimoto is an imaginary ice hockey player who was legally drafted by the National Hockey League's Buffalo Sabres 183rd overall in the 11th round of the 1974 NHL Amateur Draft.

The Greeks have to travel much further to get to their game, and the humidity will be much higher where they are going. According to the rocket scientist on the panel, the Greeks don't play well in high humidity!!! WTF, that is what Japan was blaming their last loss on, and this is now going to be a benefit to them.
The other reason is that in 2005 during the confederation cup, what ever that is, Japan defeated Greece 1-0, and of course those two squads are exactly the same as now!
Oh yes a third reason, Japan is staying at a luxury resort, with pools and jacuzzi's, while the Greeks are forced to stay in a business style hotel! The whole panel are laughing at this, not thinking that, A, Greece was on the verge of default not so long ago, and maybe this is all they can afford. B, this luxury resort the Japanese players are staying at is being paid for with our tax yen. No laughing matter!

Not in the round robin phase (in case you meant that seriously).

That Messi-anic fervour you were complaining about isn't restricted to the Japanese idiots. The CBC advertorialists are every bit as bad, whomever the designated object of worship might be in that particular game.

It's been a forgettable World Cup for England on the pitch. Off the pitch, one company is having a forgettable few days as well, as they had hoped to cash in on a successful tournament for The Three Lions, as the Sunday Express notes.
Among the English World Cup merchandise an unnamed British company had created featuring the likenesses of the English soccer team were a set of mugs that included one glaring error. You could purchase a Steven Gerrard or Joe Hart or Wayne Rooney, among others, but if you’re a big Chris Smalling fan, you might notice something a tad off about his appearance.

Now let's see how long J-TV will keep replaying the two goals they managed in the group.
