Last year here in the heartland I had a friend Momo and she would get sooo pissed when people would speak to her in Korean (thinking she was from Korea) and I got so tired of hearing her bitch about how distictive the Japanese were I made her take that test, ha and she failed big time. Never heard another peep.

My Japanese girlfriend got thrown in the drunk tank at Window Rock, Arizona for having an unopened 6-pack in the backseat and beer breath*. The Indian reservation police refused to believe she was Japanese, and not a Navajo Indian. (Having booze is illegal on the "Rez" for Indians.)

When she cursed at them for 20 minutes straight in Japanese, the Tribal Police assumed she was so drunk she couldn't talk right ---the police continued to hold her for medical observation. They told me when I bailed her out that the Japanese language sounded totally psycho to them. I agreed. :lol:

*Her blood alcohol was below for DWI since she only had one beer.

This has happened to my wife.

When I was in the Air Force, Korean people on the base assumed she was Korean and started speaking Korean to her.

Taro, one question....didnt your GF have her passport on her or identification with her name on it? That would have cleared things up real quick.

i kick ass. i got 11 out of 17. i agree with Guest though that i would have done a tone better if i could have seen the fashion..

on another note, my japanese wife got a 7 out of 18... :lol:

japanese people have much better style in clothing than the koreans and chinese, in my opinion.. all of my taiwanese friends (rich, rich, rich), wear expensive big name usually kinda dumn looking clothing and gaudy jewelry while my okinawan and japanese friends look a thousand times better wearing t-shirts and silver.

15 out of 17..i guess its just cause i hang out with alot of japanese/korean/chinese, and can tell the diff pretty easy (although some of those were pretty hard)

Ha. My lady always gets addressed in Spanish at US Immigration, Chinese in Shanghai, Tagalog in the Philippines, and in Milan guys come up behind her to smooth talk her in Italian. "NANI?" is her standard reply that blows them away.

She was wearing the wrong coat and had no ID in it.
However, basically she was stopped for Driving-While-Nonwhite.

I reminded that cops that I had NEVER been stopped for a random road check on the same road for years. On the Reservation, whitebread like me NEVER are stopped.

If they pick their nose, belch a lot, chew with their mouth open and take FOR EVER to check in at an airport, then they are Chinese.

Japanese usually don't pick their nose or burp in public.
