He is the sort of man who sends a car, a product of a sister organisation of his rocket enterprise, with a mannequin in it, into space as proof of payload capabilities, and then releases it into an orbit ranging from that of Venus to beyond that of Mars. We all of us need an extra piece of space junk to track, and the whole thing has benefited mankind immensely.

Musk was at least correct in tying socialism into the means of production and fairer distribution of wealth. Socialism certainly is not about matters like gender fluidity, feminism joining hands with fundamental Islam, fighting for marriage and outrage at an American president's rudeness toward the fucken Queen of England.
A British cave diver who was instrumental in the rescue of 12 children trapped in a northern Thailand cave says he is considering legal action after the inventor Elon Musk called him a “pedo” on Twitter.
Vernon Unsworth, 63, told the Guardian on Monday he was “astonished and very angry” at the attack, for which Musk offered no evidence or basis. The billionaire initially doubled down on the comments made on social media, but has since deleted them.
Unsworth told journalists at the cave site, where a clean-up operation is underway, the remarks about him were an attack on the entire rescue crew.
“I believe he’s called me a pedophile,” he said. “I think people realise what sort of guy [Musk] is.”
Asked if he would consider taking legal action against Musk, he told reporters: “Yes, it’s not finished.”

Yeah, but his credibility as a socialist suffers a bit, if he is exposed as one of the largest donors to a PAC dedicated to keeping the GOP in control of the House, don't you think?

Elon Musk has given an extraordinary interview during which he burst out in tears, asked for someone to take his job as Tesla CEO and admitted he relies on Ambien to sleep.
The 47-year-old is facing mounting pressure and an SEC investigation over a tweet sent last week claiming to have 'secured funding' to take Tesla private.
Today's interview with the New York Times is likely to increase that pressure after he admitted to a raft of personal problems, exhaustion and says his friends are concerned for his health.
Tesla shares opened down 5% to 318 cents in early trading after a series of falls in the wake of the tweet and ensuing controversy.
Musk described the past year as 'excruciating' and the 'most difficult and most painful year of his career'.
The interview also raises concerns about Musk's drug use. It claims the board is aware that he uses 'recreational drugs' and Musk himself admits to frequently relying on Ambien to sleep.
The paper also claims that Tesla's board is concerned about his posts on Twitter while under the influence of Ambien and have urged him to quit social media.
Additionally Musk denied he was 'on weed' or 'stoned' when he sent the tweet claiming to be taking Tesla private for a $420 share, although he acknowledged the value could be taken as a reference to marijuana. He said: 'It seemed like better karma at $420 than at $419. But I was not on weed, to be clear.'
