well, I think happoshu compares well with american beer.

So, if you are used to US beers, its not that bad.

There's also a huge variety of 100yen cans of CHU-HAI; most are better the bug-juice (KoolAid).

Japanese brands like "HOPS" are better than 3.2% beers like Coors sold in US colleges. Coors 3.2---What a YUCK-a-DUCK-BUTT brew!

I drank Coors ONCE in my life.

I was already drunk and went to a frat house and someone put a Coors in my hand. I took a couple of sips out of it to be polite.
One of the few times in my life I didnt drink free alcohol.
