Sony Spanked Me

Postby GuyJean » Sat Jan 11, 2003 1:06 pm

Well, TokyoDV had it's first hand-slap.

After going on a tour of some of Sony's facilities about a year ago, I spliced together two clips of the Airboard, Aibo, and other various Sony products. The person at Sony I was dealing with was great, and he also loved the finished videos. But Sony didn't.. After nearly a year of being up, I was requested to take them down.

I'm assuming they didn't like their products being presented on the same site with hostess interviews, Internet models, and AV products for sale.. Their loss :D

These videos CANNOT be seen here!: http://www.tokyodv.com/news

Joke em' if they can't take a f*ck.. Such is life.

Amen, brother! I've been salivating since it came out last week..

There are still two issues though:

- The iBooks still have MUCH better wireless reception than the Titaniums.

- I want 1.5 Ghz, (minimum), processor.

Still, 17" x 1" is impressive.

Very true.. cos the metal deflects the "waves" and the plastic-type iBooks don't have that trouble.

I guess as a graphics guru you need the 1.5Ghz.. not really an issue for me!!

Went to a store the other day and planned shipment is March..

I assumed I COULD fight it, if I wanted; I was proud of those clips. But I also don't want to burn that bridge. The person I was, and am dealing with is a good guy. He mentioned he wants to have me do more videos of Sony's products, with all the proper paperwork, in the future.. Could be BS though. :?

I still have the Sony robot video clips. I made those from the Robot Expo, so they have no say at all.. Those are actually much more popular than the clips I made from the tour.
