Weddings Expressions

Postby kurohinge1 » Mon Nov 13, 2006 3:05 pm

I recall seeing on FG the thread about set expressions for funerals, but I couldn't find any similar ones here or on the 'net for weddings.

My friend is heading to Tokyo soon to attend his FG son's wedding to a local, and my wife & I have been asked to try and translate some greetings and best wishes from a few of the FG's relatives that apparently can't make it, as well as a few words from the FG's father, to be read at the wedding.

So, if anyone can post (or link to) some common Japanese expressions (and their translations) for best wishes and encouragement to the happy couple, that would be most appreciated.
