New English Subway Guide

Postby Mulboyne » Tue Aug 28, 2007 6:27 pm

[floatl]Image[/floatl]The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has produced a new English language subway guide.

"Illustrated with photographs, the brochure provides guidance to visitors on how to use the subway system in Tokyo, from directions on how to locate subway entrances and exits, to explanations on how to use the ticket-vending and fare adjustment machines. The brochure also provides information on economy passes and a numbered subway-route map."

Tokyo Metro also has an English guide but this one by Toei is the newest. It might be useful to have around if any visitors turn up. You can pick up a copy at Tokyo Tourist Information Centers and Desks as well as Toei subway stations except Oshiage, Meguro, Shirokane-dai, Shirokane-takanawa and, bizarrely, Shinjuku Line Shinjuku Station.
