The best way is to find a J-national and say it to them just how you normally pronounce it and have them write it down for you.

ジェームズ・ウォーステンホーム　is the best bet if the L is silent. If you do pronounce it, go with Take's second version.

Thanks guys, that's great. I think I'll go with Take's one as I guess starting with a U is the way to go! Ueno, Ueo etc. all sound good like W's so J-dudes will be more used to it.
