Successful Gaijin Entrepreneurs

Are there example of successful gaijin business people in Japan? I don't mean foreign companies and Carlos Ghosn, but small businesses started by western foreigners that have become big businesses in Japan.

J-list is doing quite well.
Mr Kobayashi: First, I experienced a sort of overpowering feeling whenever I was in the room with foreigners, not to mention a powerful body odor coming from them. I don't know whether it was a sweat from the heat or a cold sweat, but I remember I was sweating whenever they were around.

Not sure what you consider "big", but I believe Global Online (gol.com) is fairly successful. Nowadays it's not run by a foreigner, but I think it was already doing quite well by the time its Canadian founder was murdered during a trip to the US in 2001.

Not everyone on this list http://www.ea-tokyo.com/seminars/speakers.php is a gaijin but there are plenty to chose from...

Same here. Could be the fact that it might irk some to shell out $50 to hear a guy you already know - or can be found propping up the bar at your regular hangout.
