Too few white folk in Canada anymore.

Every now and then I encounter some sort of incidents that reminds me that there is a lot of racial intolerance still in Vancouver. Like when we get told to go back to China (in spite of the fact that we're fourth generation Canadian and probably have been in Canada longer than they have). Or when a woman came up to me on the street and screamed "You fucking children of geisha!" I guess my mother really shouldn't have written those famous memoirs. Damn.

One might say Japan was stolen when the people from Korea and the Asia continent came over. Douuuu da? You gotta "yabai youuu! for that?

It might also be noted that since a large number of Native Americans share the same DNA with Asians which leads to the land bridge theory that Asians came across to North America that way, it makes it highly possible, that we whites stole the land from you children of the plum blossom. How's that grab ya? Come on and take it back! I dare ya!

It's strange, I had a guy I know from town come up to me recently to tell me about his latest trip to Vancouver. Every couple of years a bunch of old timers get together and play a group of second and third generation Japanese living in the greater Vancouver area. What he proceeded to tell me, is that he really doesn't like Vancouver much these days, since there are hardly any white people around. He much prefers Alberta since it is still Canada!
Why can't Japanese people get the idea through their heads that to be a people or country you all don't have to be the same, and white doesn't equal Canadian!!! Hell they go over there to play Japanese Canadians, doesn't that mean anything to them, or do they think that they are still really Japanese just on a really long home stay.
