Beaches. Quiet. Secluded. WHERE?

Postby 40 Fl. oz. » Thu May 29, 2003 12:08 pm

Beaches! QUIET AND SECLUDED! Within 2 hours driving distance from Tokyo. Where are they?

I'm planning to take my biatch mid July. At that time all the little bastards should still be locked in school on the weekdays.

So, where are they?

P.S.
No suggestions for nudist beaches. They can't handle my gigantic mandango.

Try the thread Let's Quiet Tokyo Beaches which includes even a nude beach where your "gigantic mandango" will be loved.

Ok, ok, I now see that a "search" can't be posted as a link even though it works locally on my computer.

ANYWAY . . . the thread that started last Tue Feb 11, 2003 12:53 pm can be accessed here at:

Good suggestions were and still are as follows (I'm driving to Zushi this Saturday so hide your "mandango."

In Boso the beaches are so long and so wide you could dump the whole 30 million population of Tokyo, Chiba and Yokohama there and still have a lot of room to breathe. At the moment we only have a small fraction of that 30 million coming out during the summer. Bu if even that fraction worries you then let me tell you the rest of the secret.....

Umm, I think he means "mandingo", which is the name of a movie where "mandingo" is a line of men in slavery time who were bred for there strength and power and also were known to be EXTREMELY well hung.

Mandingo is also a nickname for a black penis or a black guy who is EXTREMELY well hung.

Buy saying MANDANGO, I dont what he is trying to say.

Insider's guide to the best beaches
by Koishi Nishimura Metropolis magazine / June 13

The nearest beach may prove to be your favorite...a list of the choicest coastlines in the Tokyo area.

Hayama, Kanagawa Pref.
...home to the emperor's summer villa, this seaside hideaway was discovered by a visiting Italian minister in the 1880s. The out-of-the-way location makes for quiet beaches and a number of scenic hiking trails. Zushi stn on the Keikyu or JR line. http://www.town.hayama.kanagawa.jp

Kamogawa, Chiba Pref.
Home surf for Ueda and the Surfrider Foundation, this resort town lies just one hour and 40 minutes north of Tokyo on the express train and is the site of many lively summer festivals. Ama Kamogawa stn on the View Wakashio line. http://www.city.kamogawa.chiba.jp

Kugenuma, Kanagawa Pref.
Dubbed the birthplace of beach volleyball in Japan, this wide stretch of sand about one hour south of Tokyo has 12 courts open year-round and a plethora of eager players including Asahi and Nishimura. 10-minute walk from Kugenuma stn on the Odakyu line.

Odaiba,
Tokyo Pref. A man-made beach in Tokyo Bay, this popular summer spot has flat surf and is surrounded by shopping malls and the picturesque Rainbow Bridge. Good for windsurfing, volleyball, and suntanning. Five-minute walk from Odaiba Kaihin Koen stn on the Yurikamome line from Shinbashi.

Taro's WARNING: Technically there's no swimming at Odaiba, but it's great place to put on your moves on a moonlit night. Try the lush lawn of the gun battery across the inlet from the beach for plenty of privacy. :devil2:
