Another Flashing 'Turning Japanese' Tribute

Postby GuyJean » Wed Jun 04, 2003 10:11 pm

Sort of entertaining:

http://albinoblacksheep.com/flash/2chan.php

It reminded me of Toshio Maeda's work: The tentacle-raping-hentai-manga-pioneer:

(unwork-able)

That 2-Ch tribute covers all the low points for the past 6 months. They ought to do a tribute for Fark to save us all the wasted time in PS contests.

Sort of!! I larfed and larfed and larfed.. I have sent the link to my friends around the world but I don't think they will be able to really get all the references unless they have spent some time here.

That was awesome! The only thing that really lost me big time was the Ronald McDonald thing. Is he considered evil over there or something? I mean, I can see a resemblance between Ron and the old (i think they're) Kabuki dancers (red hair and white face, demonlike. I'd run from him in a dark alley). Only actual reference I can recall is the cliff dancer from the anime Gasaraki, and I have no clue about its cultural significance (but I am gonna try and find out.)

Postby maraboutslim » Thu Jun 19, 2003 2:24 am

btw, don't forget that in Japan, he isn't "Ronald" but "Donald"!

I want to think they did that on purpose but can't help but think it was just some sort of misunderstanding...

You see, this what happens if you give Ronald some ecstacy.
