2nd handbook shops and net cafes nr shinjuku stn or asagaya?

mate is stopping over in tokyo for a day before going to chubu i think, then south korea, and asked me if i had any info on these he's crashing at a mutual friends place, but he , the friend will be out most of the time hence me begging for help here....

as i have no idea about tokyo, could anyone help? addresses in kanji are ok, as he's chinese , well from shanghai originally, calls himself shanghaiese.. anyhow, any info would be appreciated as all he has is an old lonely planet guide to japan and wants to get some reading materials, check his mail etc for the journey ahead..

wish i could join him really, chubu region/area? sounds pretty good.. thats in the middle of honshu from memory tho may as usual be wrong ^^

doh, just realised, kanji are ok for him, but not for me i wont be able to tell him down the phone...! err romaji pls if poss.. imagine that.. well this one looks like a tree, followed by one that looks like a river.. right! sure youll find the place..
