Is it true that the age of consent for sexual relations in Japan is 13?

The law has two parts.

Since 13 is the legal age, a 13 year old and a 14 year old can have sex and it would not be a crime. In the United States, the boy of this pair can be charged with rape, even if the girl wanted to have sex.

But it is illegal for an adult to have sex with anyone who is under 18.

However, females 16 or older and males 18 years or older can get married with their parent/guardian's approval and sex with one's spouse is always legal.

Gras on the field, you can play type rule i guess. Don't agreed on the 12 yr old tho. thats way to young. But if you travel back in time about 300-400 years ago, it wasn't uncommon for 114, 15 yr olds to be married to much older men. All depends on the times I guess. I'm twenty, 16 is pushing it for me.
