iTunes U help

Am trying to download iTunes U free content via iTunes (Japan) to put in my iPod. Every time I click to download I get this error message:

We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-9812). There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later.

Does anyone based in Japan who downloads educational content from iTunes U have any advice?

If you configure a proxy in IE that can mess with the connection, although I think the error message you receive is different.
