Inevitably, this is getting wide coverage. Police say they don't yet know how the woman died but she was found in an apartment being rented by an acquaintance of Oshio's. He was with the woman in the apartment and one report says he claims to have left when she felt sick. The time of death is thought to be around mid-day Sunday.

Another report says his hands were shaking during interviews with police which the reporter claims is a tell-tale sign of ecstasy use. I think it is more likely a tell-tale sign of Oshio having woken up next to a dead girl.

The guys at work were discussing this over on a cig break. The girl probably wouldn't have died of overdoes if this dumb ass had called the ambulence in time instead of calling his dip shit manager. The apartment the dead woman was found in seems to be registered in the name of Mika Noguchi who is the founder of the Peach John fashion brand. Initially, reports said the dead woman was her employee but more recent comments suggest she was a hostess at a Ginza club.

Either Oshio left her when she was already dead or else he left when she was dying: either way, it doesn't look great for him although it's unclear what other charges he might face.

He apparently hadn't been back much to the family home and was effectively estranged from his wife, Akiko Yada, for the last six months. One news reports say she broke down when she heard the news and a divorce is on the cards.

I'm certainly not familiar with ecstasy but I thought the effects included making you spacey ... not wired up with hands shaking like a case of the DTs.

From what I've.....ummmm...heard...yeah...from what I've heard, good X /MDMA does pump you up, but shouldn't really create the full on shakes, unless it's cut with meth (and it often is). More than anything, it does get you going, but "goddamn, it feels so damn great to feel so damn great that it makes me feel even greater, shit, let's dance to shit techno muzak for 6 hours!"
