Japanese Guys Way Behind on Lifestyle Trends

Postby prolly » Tue Oct 26, 2010 5:02 am

As a once-powerful economy doomed by decade-long deflation, Japan is a vision of our own future. But as trend-adopters, Japanese men are years behind us. Still with the fey emo metrosexual thing, guys?

Global trendspotting organization The Washington Post reports that the current generation of young Japanese men are self-proclaimed "herbivores"—gentle, sexless souls who eschew the corporate lifestyle in favor of spa treatments and "flannel-patterned shirts, bought first-hand but made to look second-hand."

:rofl: :rofl: :rofl::rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black (or the nose shit laughing at the eye shit, as the Japanese would say...). This trend has been around for years and the WP only picks up on it now?

(I quietly confess to being a fucking hypocrite in this post after I posted a "news" story yesterday about the decline of the kimono industry, which has probably been continuing for about 150 years....)

they were just trying to be nice to the lil pussies so they dont offend them and trigger a massive wrist slitting/train bowling spree.
