trashy joints

Postby Harvey » Mon Jun 10, 2002 10:24 pm

Okay. I've been walking around Tokyo for a few days now, and while walking through Kabuki-cho I noticed some -freakin shady- looking places.

Have any of you guys ever entered a joint like that? what's the trashiest place you have ever been in Japan? What was it like? Horny youngsters want to know!

Trashy places

Give it up, horn ball. The vast majority of those places are off limits for gaijin. I know one gaijin guy who, after spending lots of time searching around and getting refused at the door, finally managed to find one or two places that were gaijin friendly---in freakin' Chiba!

In my mind, it's not worth the money or the time.

Wow that sucks. Hrm. Oh well. I guess we'll always have to wonder... did he describe the experience in Chiba?

Wanna laff? When I was rich and famous I bought a part share in a disco/bar in Shinjuku. I owned about one third and actually made quite a bit of money when the disco boom hit town.

Eventually one of my partners quit and sold out to the other guy. He promptly closed the place and redid it into drinks and play club, installed his girlfriend as MAMA and started fleecing drunken executives.

One day I went over there to check the books (I knew he was scamming me but didn't have time to check it out) I walked in and was promptly asked to leave as they had a no-gaijin rule. I told them I actually owned the joint whereupon they still told me to leave. Seems the local cops were due soon to pick up their payoff loot and they though it would look more suspicious and cost more if the cops knew a gaijin was the owner.

Some days I think back and wonder what my life would have been like if I had never lived in Japan.
