Do you really think he would have been able to mount a successful counter attack? Even if he had been totally sober that guy would have wiped the sidewalk with him. It's best not to fuck with people who have to do labor for a living. Back in The States I used to roll with a five foot nothing wiry Mexican dude who worked construction. Pound-for-pound one of the strongest guys I've ever sparred with. He was much tougher to handle than the bulky dudes who spent all their time lifting.

In Oz overseas students aren't always noted for their good manners,either. I recall some Japanese or Korean students writing graffiti over some place of historical or archaeological importance.

Most of them are well behaved but in a twist on the old 'Gaijin leave Japan without paying taxes and their phone' many would be surprised at how often Asian overseas students (Japanese, Korean, Chinese) leave without paying what they owe for the cars they 'bought' in Orstralia. They're also not noted for being scrupulously honest as a group re paying final bills including phone bills.
