It's not techno or really electronica but I like experimental music a lot and sometimes play around with Acid Pro. I also play the mandolin. If you click the AssKissinger www link you can see my band's website amd listen to our songs. If you want to listen to one of my solo songs you can by clicking :
Crushboy That's the name of the song.

Farquing nice remix AssKiss! I give it Taro's 3 out of 4 stars. Ok, ok, am I being presumptuous?

Well in a former life, I was "Dr. Phil T. R. Banks", circa late 60s ('Phil T. R. Banks' = filter banks, as in analog synthesizers such as in the MOOG days). After X-mas vacation when I get back my archive at Burning Tree Ranch, Colorado, I'll post my one-and-one LP ripped to MP3, hee, hee. :P

3 out of 4? That's 75%. Where I come from that's a 'C'. Which is a passing grade, something I've been aiming for ever since I started high school. Thanks Taro. :D

P.S I never would have trusted a perfect score so don't worry. My only goal is to be a music lover.

Ok, ok. "I'm not flat, I'm just deadpan." 4 out 4.
Since I have your tunes loaded in my iPod in my 'heavy rotation" playlist for FREE, I better start being effusive in praise.
Like I said, I'm being presumptuous. You're for real... are laying down tracks and performing. Whereas, Before the Dawn of Time, I was just a college radio engineer in the right place in the right time who got an un-sold album 'cause nobody knew were to plug in the equipment. :?

Yes, you did. Thank you for listening. These are my lyrics:

flower in the row boat
go boy go
rock the boat ashore with the blow by blow
Kissinger miniskirt
playing in the digger dirt
in the town of Love Canal
population sixty thou
the children play in green ooze
but Crushboy kisses their rashes away
fly fly fly away Crushboy
the pharmacy is such a drag
they take and take
but don't give back
green is the color of true love
and I'm just chillin' with Crushboy

Yeah. "Kissinger" was in there alright. I'm still trying to find some "ass" in it.

For my iPod, I re-ripped "Crushboy" to a plain-jane MP3 with only 2.5 iterations of the Chi-Com radio check for Mao at the beginning lead-in. ThanX for tunz! :P

BTW: WTF is a "crushboy"? It ain't this. So is it a variation of "fanboy" or just buttboy?

Now, Taro, you know you've got to wait until June 13, 2004 for that ass.

the software... allows users to cast their own (or anyone else's) songs in a disembodied but exceedingly life-like concert-quality

That's cool. I wish I could hear the music of the future today. Think how surprised people 100 years ago would be if the could hear today's music.

Nice. I downloaded the mp3's and will burn them to cd. Is The Beat Poets your band or project? Do you DJ or play live in LA? It most be a really incredible and competitive scene out there. Tell us more about the Beat Poets.

Can you understand any of that shit? You studied Chinese didn't you? Now I wanna hear the Taro re-edited mix-down!

right on...thanks man :)

The Beat Poets is the project that my partner and I are working on. Were basically just making music out of our home studio and sending it out to promote ourselves and hopefully secure some deals. We had one offer already but the label wanted too much with little promised in return.
( thank god my friends an entertainment lawyer...whew )

So now its the same deal, send stuff out to a BUNCH of labels and see who bites ( and see who says "you bite"..haha )

Yeah,

I've been producing for about 3 years now. I started off producing detroit/minimal techno. Then I got heavily into drum n bass. Now I produce mostly hip-hop/rap and electro, with a pop tune thrown in for good measure.

I'd like to eventually set up a recording studio in Tokyo.

LOL, I had to check what site I filled in while registering for this site. Naw, I don't teach anything. I just train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu a few times a week to stay healthy.
