I wouldn't mind a history written that includes more mention the suffering of the Japanese people and ordinary soldiers at the hands of the right wing perverts who seized control of Government and the military. I think that has been overlooked. I have a feeling that this isn't that though. Instead it will be the usual denial that it was a homicidal and vicious regime that inflicted vast suffering on millions of people - including Japanese people. And yet more, "Life was idyllic in our beautiful house in Tokyo until one day one of the servants said there were soldiers at the door ." It was so cruel and unfair.

Yep, I didn't know until recently either, when I decided to give those Youtubers a chance to earn some bucks from my viewing by setting my ad blocker to limited blocking. It didn't last long, because those ads are so fucking annoying, that I rather not watch at all than having to endure them. And to make things worse, they are all Japanese ads for products that I am TOTALLY NOT interested in.

I would also like the people making advertisements to do something worthwhile. OK, there is some value in advertising but far too much time and money is spent on making glossy tripe that has no utility. Or beauty. Or wit.

Even amazon suggestions are 90% of the time completly stupid despite them knowing my full shopping list and therefore a good view of my interests...

The wanking around youtube "algorythm" is unbearable. If the ads placement is the result of an analysis done by a piece of software designed on that purpose, all the cretins who worked on this trainwreck deserve to be shot and let to rot under the sun.

10 years ago the idea of "targeted marketing" worked. Today paid marketing rules which is why the "menials" have zero culture.
