Hahaha.
You guys are still believing this nonsense when the average temperature in Japan this year is like the lowest in ages? Just step outside right now if you don't believe me.

Honestly though, the argument is not whether the earth is getting warmer but why?
We've already established that this place was both alot warmer and alot colder before we got here.

Whoa there, Whoa! Hold your horses!

God was not involved in any way with Katrina. That entire storm was created at Bush on instructions to Cheney, Rove and the CIA. What's more they did it without a warrant! Worse than that, Scooter Libby leaked it to the press.

Interesting interview on global warming and hurricaines with researcher Kerry Emannuel- he's quite respected in the field of hurricaines (he "wrote the book" on them")

I think think the melting arctic ice caps are causing the extra snow.

...Governor Schwarzenegger's global warming bill. A cap and trade bill, it would mandate that all businesses reduce greenhouse gases by 25 percent by the year 2020. An important companion bill would bar California utilities from buying electricity from out-of-state power plants that don't cap emissions. That would force more than two dozen coal-fired plants under development in the West to adopt non-polluting technologies or lose access to the California market.

The kind of devastation seen on the Gulf Coast from Hurricane Katrina may be a small taste of what is to come if emissions of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide (CO2 ) are not diminished soon, warns Dr. Ken Caldeira of the Carnegie Institution's Department of Global Ecology in his opening remarks at the 7th International Carbon Dioxide Conference in Boulder, Colorado

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060911/ap_on_sc/hurricanes_warming

Most of the increase in ocean temperature that feeds more intense hurricanes is a result of human-induced global warming, says a study that one researcher says "closes the loop" between climate change and powerful storms like Katrina.

A series of studies over the past year or so have shown an increase in the power of hurricanes in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, a strengthening that storm experts say is tied to rising sea-surface temperatures.

And most of that temperature increase can be blamed on global warming caused by human activities such as automobile and industrial pollution, scientists report in Wednesday's issue of Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Katrina evacuees seen as 'climate refugees'
http://www.chinapost.com.tw/detail.asp?ID=88172&GRP=A
Some 250,000 evacuees from last year's Hurricane Katrina on the Gulf Coast may never return permanently and should be considered "climate refugees," whose ranks around the world could grow until global warming is mitigated, an environmental expert said.
The number of "climate refugees" will grow unless the world cuts the amount of greenhouse gases it releases, said Lester Brown, president of Earth Policy Institute in Washington D.C.

World Has 10-Year Window to Act on Climate - Expert

On that warmer planet, ice sheets would melt quickly, causing a rise in sea levels that would put most of Manhattan under water. The world would see more prolonged droughts and heat waves, powerful hurricanes in new areas and the likely extinction of 50 percent of species.

Hansen, who heads NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, has made waves before by saying that President George W. Bush's administration tried to silence him and heavily edited his and other scientists' findings on a warmer world. He reiterated that the United States "has passed up the opportunity" to influence the world on global warming.

The US is the world's biggest polluter and very disproportionately so

China, Russia, and India are catching up and are polluting the planet on large levels but the USA is still number 1 by a massive margin

Japan is a dirty nation by pollution standard despite it trying to sell this Kyoto treaty, Japan makes about four-six percent of the world's pollution

For balance, dear Senator Inhofe (Senate Environment chair) has some interesting comments about how polar bears and glaciers are doing fine and that there are many scientists who agree with him ; )

Watch it here:
