The Original Naked Cowboy: Buck Naked!

The Naked Cowboy? Bah! Not as cool as the original BUCK NAKED. Buck fronted a "porn-a-billy" band called [url=http://www.nervous.co.uk/shindex.htm?[url]http://www.nervous.co.uk/reviews/hey033.htm]Buck[/url] Naked and the Bare Bottom Boys[/url]. Sort of like The Cramps meet the Beat Farmers. They had a great single called "Teenage Pussy from Outer Space" that I'm sure you'd all enjoy.

Buck used to man the doors at the Paradise Lounge across the street from where I used to live. Cool guy--he often let me into the club for free.

Buck was tragically shot to death by a lunatic here in SF about 10 years ago. He was walking his dog once in the Panhandle (a section of Golden Gate Park) very late at night and was shot dead by a man known around the neighborhood as 'The Pigeon Man' for his love of those unpopular fowl. Buck's dog chased the birds the Pigeon Man was feeding, and the guy flipped out and opened fire. The Pigeon Man was subsequently tried and convicted to a prison term for his murder. What a waste.

Man Mr. Sparkle., I can't begin to tell you how many times I saw Buck Naked and the Bare Bottom Boys down at the I-Beam in the Haight-Ashbury District. Buck rocked!!!

When not sporting a toilet plunger Buck utilized the pee-screen from a unrinal...

Soon after Buck passed away I went to a Beat Farmers gig down in the SOMA and they played a tribute rendition of Teenage Pussy From Outer Space. Freakin A - those were the days.
