music/keyboard equipment

Postby ibiza » Mon May 10, 2004 12:09 pm

Once I get to Japan, I'd like to pick up an M-audio firewire 410 and probably a korg MicroKorg, or some other midi controller with a few built in sounds.

I'll be staying in Koriyama, which is in Fukushima prefecture. Does anyone know of any stores that might carry this stuff?

Thanks.

How about a handful of good VST's, a software sampler and a small midi controller instead?

Much more portable and easy to carry around, i love my oxygen 8 as it's nice and easy for music creation on the go!!

M-Audio even do a perfect size bag for a laptop and an oxygen 8 (or ozone)

Search for Japanese M-Audio dealers here: http://www.m-audio.co.jp/dealer-search/index.html

Korg dealers: http://www.korg.co.jp/ (you may want to try the new Korg Legacy Plugins and NI Vokator instead of using the microkorg for sounds and vocoder.)

Oxygen 8 + iBook + Garage band = instant music creation. :)

The microkorg is USB1 as far as i know and the only firewire Midi controller i know of is the ESI - A ON.

A keyboard will not reduce latency though, so if its power you want, there is only one thing for it:
