Don't look too good either James!

James Brown was arrested today on a domestic violence charge after allegedly pushing his wife to the floor during an argument at the couple's South Carolina home.

He looks like he's been hiding in a hole in Iraq.

BTW in one his popular songs he sings: Get Up * Get on up * Get Up * Get on up * etc.
My wife used to think he was yelling geropu (spew / vomit) and since she told me, I can't stop hearing it that way.

Continuing with the James Brown saga...

 James Brown tells bands to clean up act

Music legend James Brown has hit out at contemporary bands for being too scruffy onstage.

The stylish Godfather of Soul who considers his trademark suits as conveying "politeness and manners", likes to advise contemporary groups on how to present themselves onstage.

Quote of the year

"They see me, and they know I'm setting a good example.

The life and crimes of James 'setting a good example' Brown'

He was pursued for $US4.5 million in unpaid taxes. His radio stations, playlisting only black music, failed. His band mutinied, saying Brown worked them too hard, paid them too little and never gave them proper songwriting credits. Ace players Fred Wesley, Bootsy Collins and Maceo Parker left. Then he was accused of paying radio stations to play his music. Brown's eldest son died in a car crash and his second marriage broke up. When disco erupted, his music sales dried up and his record contracts were severed. In 1987, a super-bad year, he was arrested five times for using drugs - mainly PCP, a smokeable powder that can render users delusional. At the fifth arrest he was accused by his then-wife of assault, then led police on a wild chase, during which he waved a gun around. He served two years' jail. In 1998 he narrowly avoided jail again on further guns and drugs charges. Early this year, two things happened that summarise both the devil and the dignitary in James Brown: he went to the White House as a VIP, still, and was dubbed the "secretary of soul and the foreign minister of funk" by US Secretary of State Colin Powell. Then, only weeks later, he was unceremoniously arrested at dawn and charged with criminal domestic violence. His wife, Tomi Rae, was reported to have been scratched and bruised, but she dropped the charges - just in time for his Australian tour.
