been browsing a bit but didnt find answers was really after and couldnt gather much in a search except vague info

so another Q&A type thread

definatly visiting j-land on a working holiday for a year no matter if i get my degree or not

but after that year is up, whats the best hands down way (excluding spouse: but you never know) of getting some more years on visa out of japan
for arguments sake : if u have a degree
and is there one if u dont

and for the working holiday : can you only work part time? and doesnt that make life hard affording at least a private room to stay in and having some fun as well as just day to day essentials?

See you in japan in about 4 years after you get a degree, becasue its pretty hard to get any kind of long term visa with out one.

NeoNecro - don't be such a frickin' snob... the questions are more than valid. If _you_ don't want to answer then don't bother hitting reply.

But to the first poster... where you are from is indeed something that will affect your visa status. But usually you are able to work full-time hours on a working holiday visa but usually this will be on casual rates.

After that, decide what you want to do and find a company that will sponsor your work visa.. there are other options but you have a year to decide and don't need to plan that far ahead yet. Wait unitl you get here and check it out for yourself. Alot can happen in 12 months.

You can do Eikaiwa work with a working holiday visa but don't expect to be paid well. Once upon a time, when I was working in a English School they did hire working holiday visas but they paid them about 160,000 a month part time ( from 2 to 8ish five days a week) which you can forget about living on, or for that matter touring on, but it was a introduction to Japan. The advantage, I saw with this is the teachers that were on this program often got pitied by the students and ended up with tons of free meals, nights out drinking and even vacations.
