A little research reveals that he has been in Japan since 1952 (came with the US military) and holds Japanese citizenship. And yes, he is based in Marumori. I couldn't figure that out, because Marumori is the center of nowhere, but apparently the base he works out of was established by some other guy who married a woman from Marumori. Richard Norman has only been there since 2012, or something vaguely like that. Weird.

I've seen his followers, always FG's, holding up those signs and blasting a recorded sermon in Japanese before in Tokyo. Usually in Shibuya.
