The images were made using the online face averager that is available at my website, but we didn’t make the images and are not involved in this project in any way. I emailed the creator of these images (http://pmsol3.wordpress.com/) a few days ago and this is what he said about them:

“I do not use any models or actors, because that is just too bias – unless otherwise indicated. If you can see my pictures online you can see most of the people are very average in appearance. I find pictures from friends, but mostly online. I use Google Image. I will look up the top 10-20 last names of that nationality/ethnicity and search that name and the country. Then I just look through hundreds and even thousands of images until I get 15-20.”
