Apologies to all for introducing something totally non Japan-related, but this is one of my favorite Christmas songs of all time and I wanted to share it with any who may not know it.
P.S. Beware of the absolutely filthy lyrics!

Season's Greetings: 2010 ~ 2011

Postby Yokohammer » Sat Dec 25, 2010 9:27 am

Please accept with no obligation, implied or explicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2011, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make my country great. Not to imply that my country is necessarily greater than any other country. This wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms: This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.

Merry Christmas everyone! A bit late now, 10 after midnight... Hope you all had a great day and that Santa was good to you. :)
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Thanks Lurk and hope you and everyone had a cool yule. I just got back from KFC and a Capsule Hotel. On a low budget operation, ya can't expect more than a drumstick and a wank, but at least it does make you feel you're in with the fast movers!

Just realized that I managed to create a double post somehow (posts #40 & #41). #40 was the intended post. #41 is superfluous.

My apologies (and if a mod can delete #41 for me I'll be most grateful).

Don't think it can be done, but you could edit post 41 and replace it with a pretty Christmas picture like this:

It has been done! And without the need for a (*ahem*) pretty picture.
Much appreciated.

Merry Christmas All!
What I got for Christmas this year - A friggin' broken arm! :poh:
(humerus, up by shoulder)... I slipped on some steps, and the top step caught me under my arm (think karate chop).
On the upside - Percoset beats shouchu hands down!

That's a disappointing present. Hopefully, you've filled your misfortune quota now and will have a great 2011.

'Tis the season for medical complications.
I had a needle shoved in my eyeball on Christmas eve. Fortunately it was an eye doctor doing the shoving, but it's not something I'd want to do every Christmas. :theeye:

Enjoy the medication until your arm gets better!

That makes my ER adventure sound like a holiday - I'd much rather have a broken arm! Did you at least get to wear an oh-so-fashionable eye patch?

Your broken arm was probably a lot more painful. The eyeball injection thing just hurts a little bit for a couple of minutes, then it's all over.

It is, however, quite scary the first time (it was my first time 8-O ).

I was kinda hoping for a Hello Kitty eyepatch, or maybe something with a more manly "Pirates of the Caribbean" theme, but they just stuck some gauze over my eye with tape. The medical and fashion industries are obviously not checking in with each other.
