If shes American and a fashion icon did you really expect she would last as long as she did? With a Jp husband? :D

Wonder why they bothered getting married in the first place!?

She's actually Flip-Canadian, but the Japanese eat up the American part so whatever sell eh? Only reason I knew her and about her before she "made it" in Japan is because she used to be an import "model" that I had worked with before but if you've seen the videos she made before she came to Japan, I guess the preggo-divorce thing isn't really all that surprising. (though it seems to be career ending)

On October 30, 2010, she confirmed news reports that she and Bun had separated and filed for divorce earlier that month, and she is currently seeking full custody of their daughter. According to Dizon, the split was due to "busy schedules and inability to meet regularly differing opinions toward raising children" alongside "irreconcilable differences".

Wow ... sounds like a marriage made in a barbed wire factory.
I guess they didn't think that one through properly.

How true. I cannot understand why a dood would want to ruin a perfectly good piece of pussy by marrying it.....

YBF does work in strange ways, doesn't it!

Yeah, the Japanese PR machine pumped out what's on that Wiki but I remember her being referred to as Canadian when she was working in LA. Also, she may be famous now but from what I heard she made here, she's far from rich.

NFL player Brandon Marshall was hospitalized after being stabbed by his wife "Michi Nogami-Marshall" yesterday. Info on her is hard to find but she's at least partly Japanese.

Never criticize anyone until you've walked several kilometres in their shoes.
Because

1. You're now several kilometres away; and

2. You've got their shoes.
Michi and Brandon both attended the University of Central Florida. She was the bookworm and he was the jock. Brandon describes Michi as a "sexy nerd."
Brandon says when he saw Michi for the first time, he turned to his friend and said, "She's going to be my wife." side note: was Rasheeda back at the apt they shared while in college hmmmmm
Michi says she and Brandon like to fly by the seat of their pants. To be closer to Brandon, she took a leave of absence from her job as a forensic behavioral specialist and moved to Denver, where he played for the Broncos. The young, beautiful and fabulous couple was engaged months later, during Brandon's first Pro Bowl season.
It appears Big Michi has a police connection of some kind...
Guess the term "high yellow" used for light-skinned black chix like this is particularly apt in this case.

This is possible. She appears to be a half, possibly half-black. Years back in the USA, if a child was born of a mixed marriages, a half white child was identified as white and a half-black child was declared black. This was later changed under federal laws affecting integration. Some states were slow in updating these changes, or the parents could have interceded, but at any rate there are several reasons why should could have been of Japanese descent and still described as black.

That is correct SJ. In those days a white half was listed as Caucasian on the BC and the half black was Negro. Nothing such as Japanese, Oriental, or Asian. Strictly black, or white. Pissed my wife off. She said "Hey, I got 50% of this action and don't even get a footnote."

They didn't secretly marry. They split up last year and now it seems Daniel Craig won't be qualifying for this thread any time soon:

I was just reading Eric Clapton's autobiography and he describes meeting his current wife, Melia McEnery in 1998. She's half-Korean and Clapton says she used to go to parties with a best friend called Satsuki. It did make me wonder whether that might have been Satsuki Mitchell. McEnery was 22 in 1998 and Mitchell about 19 so it's not impossible they were moving in the same circles.
