I remember being a high school exchange student in Hokkaido in 75-76 and wearing a black tunic school uniform. Pretty stylish, you know. It was quite a site seeing a six-foot gaijin wandering around rural Hokkaido in a Gakusei Fuku in those days. Next nearest gaijin was at least 40 miles away.
