Does Japanese Wikipedia mention the semenal photobook, A Day in the Life of Japan (Collins, 1986), which seems to have started the nyotaimori boom in the West as far as I can tell?
That book had 100 pro photographers from around the world set out to cover Japan as it existed on the day June 7, 1985.

That's just gross, sexist, and likely a health code violation. What a waste of good food, by placing it on a semi-nude sweaty bimbo. Hard to believe that there were women eating there. I would have walked out.

For one thing, naked sushi does not exist in Japan. You only ever see it at some Japanophile place that want to display some shock factors. I still think naked sushi is an urban legend to be honest with you.
