Making my escape

Postby devicenull » Sun May 15, 2005 1:18 pm

Well, the original plan was somehow getting from Nagoya to Beijing directly. But because airlines here are run by japs, the price increases by a factor of 5 in august. I got a crazy idea last night after seeing the crappiness of the US Pavilion at the expo. I need a vacation. I floated the idea to the parents and they want me to come home for 3 weeks before China. (Oddly, a ticket to china from chicago is cheaper than one from japan).

Question:
How the fuck do I get out of here for cheap?

Can't you transfer via South Korea or something? I can't imagine a flight from Japan to Korea to cost very much.

I've never been to Korea, so I can't say if there is or isn't a direct flight from Korea to the U.S., but there must be a flight from Korea to China to Chicago?

Hey, you're the cheapass trying to skinflint his way home. I'd just get on the next flight from Narita, damn the expenses.

You could also ask the military or Navy boys to bail you out, but its difficult to get permission and will cost you much
If you know someone in the US Marines in Futenma airstation Ginowan, military folks sometimes do transport or Discount Flights. If you know an active duty military member then you might be able to get AMC flights to somewhere like the United States at a cheap price from somewhere like Yokosuka, Okinawa or Yokota but it can be difficult to do this.
