Speaking of Missing FG.

Postby NeoNecroNomiCron » Fri Aug 19, 2005 1:38 am

My wallet is missing... Not actualy missing probably stolen, right near my house. I went to the koban and explained to them, they said it is not lost, its more than likely stolen because the street near my house is famous for it. Actualy the Koban is about 1 or 2 Km away.

My flatmate even said he witnessed a purse snatching there before...

Shit I lost 2 weeks wages, so I had to skimp for a bit. One lucky thing is that I had my credit and one bank card seperate, otherwise I would of been royaly fucked as Mizuho dont let you take out money with your bank book unless you go to the original branch you opened you account with. Mine happenes to be 150km away... Prior pissed experience.

That sucks - especially put in context with the low chance of ever being mugged or pickpocketed in Japan.

Statistically speaking you probably should be good for the next 176.4 years. :?

Mugging is low. Pickpocketing is not.
Pickpocketing of gaijin teachers is high in my experience. In one school in north Tokyo in Ota ward near NeoNecro, all the teachers (100+ persons, 10-year sample) who took the Shinkansen to Kyoto were pickpocketed.

No matter which country you live in, if you want to increase your chances of being pickpocketed just move to a poor area. Well I am in the poorist area of Tokyo.

Pickpocketed huh? Bad luck, but I have to ask, was it taken from your bag, or your jacket or your pants, or somewhere else. And were you on the train? Just want to know where the safest place to keep the wallet is.
Mr Kobayashi: First, I experienced a sort of overpowering feeling whenever I was in the room with foreigners, not to mention a powerful body odor coming from them. I don't know whether it was a sweat from the heat or a cold sweat, but I remember I was sweating whenever they were around.

Back pocket.... I know I know. Even my mother doesnt have sympathy for me. Actualy I usualy never have all my cards together which is a big relief as you dont know how bitchy the banks get over that. I did loose 2 weeks wages though and I usualy find it difficult from week to week.
