another "moving to Japan" question

Postby mercutio » Thu Aug 08, 2002 6:46 am

Ive read all the FAQs that I can find and done enough research to clear up most of my questions. However, one that I havent really found is how to ship personal belongings. I'll want to bring more than I can carry on the plane (keyboards, guitars, kung fu weapons etc etc)

Does anyone have any suggestions for what companies/methods to use for shipping personal effects to Japan? What about shipping things back and forth? (eg. Xmas presents to my family back in the US)

Regards

Local branch downtown Nagoya and branches all over the US.

kung fu weapons etc etc)

I don't think the natives are dangerous but I guess it pays to be prepared.

If you live in the San Francisco area, I recommend either Nippon Express or Kuroneko. These are freight forwarders that specialize in shipping personal effects into Japan.
