Welp, still alive

Somehow I have managed to survive fun things like a 232-day overstay, and have weaseled my way up to the most senior position in the company short of being the boss himself. That's scary, seeing as that makes me the most "in the loop" person, but half the time I have no idea what's going on outside my department.

Oh well, time to point this fact out and get another raise.

Damn, lucky. If you were in Japan, that would be impossible. I'm assuming that with a big company behind you, a legion of legal eagles and plenty of palms greased anything is possible in Wild Wild East, China.
